Serialul „Days of Our Lives” si Ellen au dominat editia 40 a premiilor Daytime Emmy!
Editia cu numarul 40 a premiilor Daytime Emmy a avut loc aseara, la Los Angeles, fiind gazduita la Beverly Hilton Hotel. Cei mai importanti actori de soap-opera si cele mai cunoscute gazde de talk-show-uri si game-show-uri au fost prezenti la ceremonia dominata de serialul „Days of Our Lives”, care a castigat cel mai important premiu al serii.
Serialul „Days of Our Lives” a dominat, aseara, editia cu nr 40 a Premiilor Emmy care se acorda pentru productiile difuzate de canalele de televiziune, pe timpul zilei. Este pentru a doua oara in ultimii 40 de ani cand acest soap-opera castiga premiul suprem pentru cel mai bun serial drama.
Serialul soap-opera produs de NBC a reusit sa invinga la aceasta categorie alte seriale celebre precum „General Hospital” si „The Bold and The Beautiful”, care a castigat de trei ori pana acum acest premiu. Ultima data cand „Days of Our Lives” a castigat premiul Emmy pentru cel mai bun serial drama a fost in anul 1978.
Filmarile la „Days of Our Lives” au inceput in anul 1965, iar de atunci productia se bucura de un urias succes la postul de televiziune NBC.

Doug Davidson din „The Young and the Restless” si Heather Tom din „The Bold and The Beautiful” si-au adjudecat premiile Emmy pentru cei mai buni actori in rolurile principale. Doug n-a mai castigat acest premiu de 35 de ani si a fost nominalizat la aceasta categorie de sapte ori pana acum.

Ellen DeGeneres a castigat al saptelea premiu Emmy din cariera pentru talk-show-ul ei, iar un Emmy i-a revenit si celebrului „Dr.Oz”.
